How to Make a Successful Presentation

(part 2 of a 5 week/call series – 5 Step Process)

[notes taken from Dani Johnson training calls....]

5 Steps To A Successful Business - Step 2 - Successful Presentation

Vital Info: This is the ONLY time they hear about your Company, Comp Plan, bonuses, etc.

If you do it prior, it provokes questions and objections from the prospect! Then there’s no value assigned to your businees/product/service – you need to build up the value to make them want what you have!

Ways to present opportunity.

  1. Website – check if your website has compelling sales copy (a call to action)
  2. Compelling sales copy in a packet – make sure it has your contact info

How do you know if it has compelling sales copy? They call you or signed right up on

the website.

  1. Conference Calls – should be 20-30 min long, should be formatted, live or recorded
  2. Live, belly to belly conferences – go through flip chart, napkin presentation, etc.
  3. Combo – Sizzle call then website
  4. Live, 1-on-1 on the phone (script it out – don’t write one if there isn’t one available)
  5. Live, group presentations AKA in-homes

Present whole opportunity so they can get the COMPLETE big picture

Depending on response, determines whether or not you decide to work with them!

Before the Presentation (Phone)

Crucial tip: Don’t use the word Presentation! Use “information”

  1. (Make sure you have your notes out) FRAME Prospect - Get them to talk about themselves
  2. Build respect to the Presenter

Say: “Do you have a paper and pen handy?”

□ If yes, “Good, you’re going to want to take a lot of notes.”

□ If No, “Go get one, you’ve gotta have a piece of paper and pen. You’re going to want to take a lot of notes!”

(DEVELOP URGENCY)

“Are you in a quiet place where you are not going to be distracted or interrupted? Now is a good time to tell your family that you cannot be interrupted because you do want to miss a word of the information Greg Gunderson will be giving you.

(DEVELOP IMPORTANCE of what they’re about to hear)

—lead into edififying the presenter—

“He is going to get you that information that you are desiring so that you can ____ (repeat goals, etc)!”

  1. 3- way

You say: Ok, Name, now I am going to bring you to the information that is going to show you how you can … (repeat goals back again!)

(FORM YOUR PROSPECT)

Before the Presentation (Live)

Crucial tip: Don’t use the word Presentation or Meeting! Use “Information”

Don’t be late!!

  1. FORM Prospect
  2. Don’t talk about your self, company, etc (your opinion is NOT relevant in this equation)
  3. Prior to the Presentation, you need to build respect to others in the room
    1. How? (listen to audio) Take prospects over to someone in the room who is successful while edifying them

FIRST STEPS TO SUCCESS (http://firststepstosuccess) will help your whole team with this!

Before the Presentation (Internet)

Crucial tip: Don’t use the word Presentation or Meeting! Use “Information”

“Name, let me just tell you, the people who developed this website are very professional. Thousands of dollars have gone into the development of our website and this website is actually one of the websites you would be using, if this information really appeals to you and if you really wanted to be able to – fill in with needs, goals, etc – working part time from home so that you could – fill in with SIGN - needs, goals, etc –

Let me tell you something – you will want to pay very close attention to the details on that website, because the information is very powerful and it’s going to be very helpful and intricate for you to be able to accomplish the things that you want to do. You may even want to have a notepad right next to you to jot down some questions or peculiar things that may be on there. There are some good FAQ’s on that site that may answer some questions you have, so really pay close attention, because the company has invested 1000’s into developing a quality website.”

“This website would be available for you to utilize if you enjoyed the info that you say and felt like this was something that was going to work for you to help you – fill in with SIGN - needs, goals, etc –

Objections/Rebuttals:

They say: “Can you just send me some info?”

You say: “You know what, I’m actually looking for someone that’s real serious, and you and I both know we’ve requested information and it winds up in the trash without ever being looked at. And to be honest with you, I’m willing to make an investment into you as long as I know that you’re absolutely serious. So if you go to my site and I see that you’ve registered to get some info – once I see your name come through requesting that information, I will then go ahead and mail you something. Once I see you take step 1, then I’m willing to also take step 1.”

(listen to audio and takes notes if you are interested in doing a Belly-to-Belly or Party Plan/Home Party)
